AT & UDL Nuts and Bolts for Students and Adults
AT Consultant, Center for Neuropsychology,
Learning & Development, Ann Arbor
Assistive technology (AT) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) have become essential elements in the education of students with learning disabilities and ADHD. They are equally important for adults in the
workplace. This talk will focus on the basics of UDL and how AT helps teachers and employers create environments in which their students and employees can
work to their potentials, regardless of learning styles, language skills, and capacity to focus on the task at hand.

Navigating ADHD in Your 20’s and 30’s: What You Didn’t Know You Don’t Know
January 8, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Downtown branch of the Ann Arbor District Library
Third floor meeting room

Dr. Michelle Frank, a clinical psychologist here at Sari Solden & Associates and a specialist in ADHD, will be offering this engaging, informative, and FREE seminar.
While recent media coverage has suggested controversy around ADHD, this neurobehavioral condition is no surprise or passing fad to those who live with it. The path for today’s emerging adult is a winding road, and the ADHD brain compounds this already challenging journey. Adults in their 20’s and 30’s are faced with greater responsibilities, expectations, opportunities, and freedom than ever before. Since the ADHD brain has difficulty navigating the details and demands of daily life, adults with ADHD often experience a significant degree of shame and an overwhelming sense of chaos and failure. This presentation will explain the unique challenges of living with ADHD through the 20’s and 30’s within a cultural context, identify resiliency factors, and delineate ways to navigate the winding road of adulthood with ADHD.
Join us at this event to learn more about ADHD signs and symptoms, have your questions answered by a specialist, and find out about an ADHD group for women in their 20’s & 30’s starting this winter.

RSVP is appreciated; space is limited. Email or call 734-623-4444 for more information.
