Greetings from Europe
Sunday, October 12th @ 8:35 PM
Hello from Europe!
I'm having a wonderful time here. Men and women with ADD are the same all over the world, warm, interesting, fun and so much wanting to connect and share with others to help them to gain new information to give and get support.
I spoke in Brussels already in a two hour presentation that was translated into a couple other languages. Ellen Littman who wrote "Understanding Girls with ADD" came along as a guest speaker.
On Saturday here in London, I spoke about girls and women. It was great fun and very satisfying and interesting to hear the differences in other countries. It sounds like despite the difficulties in the U.S. of getting treated and diagnosed, it is much more difficult for girls in the UK.
I enjoyed meeting several women who are already members of the online community. I want to say how great it was to meet and spend time with the organizers of the conferences I attended. Joanne Norris in Brussels; she and so many others are doing a wonderful job of uniting and bringing awareness and education about ADHD all over Europe. And my friend and colleague, Dianne Zaccheo, who arranged the conference in London has helped countless people all over the UK and Europe tirelessly and expertly for years. Its was a pleasure to work with them all.
I am going to be speaking later in the week in Germany where my book was translated a few years ago. I might have mentioned before, but I think worth repeating the wonderful translation someone did. My book on women was translated to say "The Princess of Chaos: Women Living Between Talent and Misery"!
I will write again later in the week.
All the best,
Sari
