Hi. This is my first time listening to a weekly message. I appreciated your saying you were a bit late getting the message out.  I'm a bit late getting up this morning so you were right on time for me.

I liked the story about the check-out clerk; what a wonderful image for me to work with for today. A smiling face and a hum; this signifes self-confidence and utter delight and appreciation of other people. In my stressed-out life this is an image I can "copy"; I want to see what happens if I copy the clerk's behavior just for today...How simple... A smile and a hum--what a source of power and wisdom for getting me through this day.

Sari, your message came right on time for me. Thanks,

Linda

Hi, Reg and Sari.

I loved your humming, Reg!  How comforting.

Something quite interesting that I wanted to share occurred BEFORE I even knew about my ADD.  While working as a CPA in public accounting, I would often catch myself humming.  Soon others in the office began to notice it as well.  It became a "sign" that I was stressed out!  The staff working with me would walk by me hearing me humming and say, "Uh-oh, Tina's stressed!  She's humming!"  Everyone would laugh.  It was a huge stress relief for everyone.

The interesting part is that I didn't conscientiously hum!  It just happened.  I could be walking down the hall and notice it.  I suppose it was my body's way of coping with the stress.

Another interesting thing is that I wasn't humming anything in particular.  I was making it up as I went along!  Last night I read something that Kenny Chesney said, "As a songwriter you sing things and you don't even know what they are."  Maybe I need to be writing songs!!  :-)

Thanks for the weekly message!

Tina

I listened to this message as I sat in my office on Monday morning, staring at my email inbox.  Specifically, I was sifting through all the messages from last week that I marked "Read Later," hoping that somehow they would disappear.  They didn't disappear.  They're still there, now buried under a stack of new messages to begin the week.

Your message was timely and inspirational.  First think I did was reply to every inquiry from last week.  Took a lot less time than I thought, and immediately took a weight off my chest.  My vow is to try to go one day without using the "Read Later" or "Mark as Unread" button.  Gonna take back my time.  Thanks, Reggie, for a great start to the week!!!!Smile

Thank you, Anthony!

This is a great example of starting small to ensure success! Emails can be overwhelming and your comment reminds me...time to start deleting some of that INBOX clutter.

Thanks!

Hi Reg,

In keeping with my ADD/dyslexia-influences, I just today listened to THIS message thinking I was on the  31st, not the 3rd. Anyway, it was actually PERFECT advice for me TODAY,since there was a lot of wasted time happening, and I really needed to hear this reminder and GET ON THE STICK already. So THANK YOU ALOT for this very motivating message and now I'm going to TAKE BACK my TIME immediately!
