The Great ADd Weight Loss Plan(and the one thing you don't want to lose)

“The Great ADD Weight Loss Plan
(includes the critical ingredient that fills you up that you can’t survive without!)

I have invented a breakthrough ADD diet and exercise plan. No, it doesn’t help your ADD, but it is a great way to use some of the yet undiscovered benefits of having a poor memory, disorganization, and impulsivity.

I have observed that in the course of a day, the average adult with ADD has it over his non ADD counter part by a good, I would venture to guess, 10 extra repetitions of walking or running(depending on how late he or she is) upstairs and down, to the car and back inside the house, ten extra times walking around the house in circles looking for things, strenuous and exhausting whole body workouts for all your muscle groups, including stretching up to look for missing items in long forgotten places, bending over repeatedly to look through piles, strength building routines to develop and tone those arm muscles by moving papers from one area to another, not to mention moving boxes from one room to another.  Then throw in multiple trips to and from and all around the grocery store (which are pretty darn big these days), getting lost in thought or in the aisles, must add easily a couple extra miles a day, all to the credit of forgotten lists or confusion about the location of whatever it is you are looking for. The best part of this exercise plan is it is effortless- it just happens naturally as part of life. No gym or special equipment needed.

And that’s just the exercise part of my ADD weight loss plan! As an added benefit along with my exercise program I will pass along to you at no extra cost, this extra diet tip that work wonders. When you forget those trips to the super market all together, you will often find nothing in the house to eat at all! Combine that with the probability that you have no gas in the car, you will not be able to run out to go buy junk food! This extra benefit alone can sometimes reduce your caloric intake by several hundred calories a day and if you are lucky in some cases last for two days a week! You do the math.

So next time you are lamenting those extra trips up the stairs because you have forgotten one more thing you were supposed to take to work, or when you find yourself at the store without your shopping list, or when there is nothing to eat in your refrigerator, you may want to try something different.

Next time, instead of berating yourself, putting yourself down, or exploding in frustration, try to remember you can fill up in another important way.

Next time instead, take a moment, take a deep breath, and try to remember where you put what you need most at these times- your sense of humor! A good laugh at the situation and even our selves can help us re-find our lost perspective.

Hint: It is even better when you share this perspective with others who share your experiences and can laugh with you. This is what I am trying today.

What is the secret critical ingredient that fills you up that you can’t survive without?
The one thing you can’t afford to lose:  Your Sense of Humor.

Thank you, that's very funny!! My partner and I together cover the complete variety of all those extra trips. One of the one's he berates himself most about is getting to the store and forgetting the shopping list. But luckily, one of his best attributes is his sense of humor, and as you say, he just needs to remember where he put it.

At last - another reason to appreciate my ADD. That's what  you call the silver lining, its always there if you look hard enough. I  thought I was a dope for running around in circles, but now I see that it is just my body getting the recommended daily allowance of aerobics. I'm smarter than I even realized!

Instead of eating the donuts I forgot to buy yesterday, I think I will go try to find my electric bill!
